Superintendent’s Update – 06-13-2014

Over the past few weeks each of our schools has held important culminating events to not only to mark the end of the school year, but also to reflect upon it and celebrate it. The District will continue to celebrate students through our final day of school on Thursday, June 19.

The Class of 2014’s graduation activities last week provided the quintessential opportunity to reflect and celebrate in the surround of friends, family, faculty and administration. This beautiful ceremony provided the ideal launch pad to send these young adults into a world beyond their small school and community. I know I speak for the community at large when I extend to the Class of 2014 our best wishes and remind them how very proud we are of them and all they have accomplished this past year.

Happy Father’s Day

One of my favorite quotes about fathers comes from Jim Valvano, basketball coach and broadcaster. “My father gave me the greatest gift anyone could give another person, he believed in me.” Wishing all the fathers a very happy Father’s Day!

Attention Parents/Guardians

Please make certain that before the end of the school year all dues and fees are paid and books returned to the school. Students were provided notice relative to books that may need to be returned to the school library or classroom. Payment notices for accounts due have also been sent from the schools and cafeteria program as appropriate. Balances in cafeteria accounts are carried forward to the next school year.
