Superintendent's Update 10-2-16

Post date: Oct 3, 2016 1:24:53 PM

Congratulations and thank you to the students and their families at Turkey Hill Elementary School for an outstanding fundraising event. Ms. Champagne looks good with blue hair! Thanks also to the PTO for coordinating the effort and to DCU for the use of their coin counting machine. The total collected was an amazing $5548.45 which will be used to help fund student field trips. The Penny Wars fundraiser is now underway at the middle school, and students held an exciting kick-off on Friday. Mr. Santry provided some incentives to the middle school students in order to reach the $5000 goal.

Best wishes for a wonderful time and rich learning opportunities to the 5th grade students heading to Nature’s Classroom on Monday. This long standing program offers students, teachers, and chaperones an opportunity to learn and experience the great outdoors. Rain or shine, the students always return with a greater appreciation of the natural world.
