The Strategic Visioning Steering Committee in conjunction with New England Educational Consultants has been developing a draft of a new district strategic framework. A presentation was made to the School Committee at the 3-1-17 meeting of a final draft for public viewing and commentary and can be found in the files below. Updated Report Cards Adopted
PreK-5 Grade Report Card updates were voted and adopted at the School Committee Meeting on 1-4-17. The document containing all of the report card templates is attached below. The devoted committee members/teachers who served on the report card committee were: Elaine Blaisdell, Principal, and teachers: Sherrie Flynn, Maribeth Ford, Michael Courtemanche, Nancy Chapdelaine, Lori MacDougall, and Charlotte Letendre.
Social Studies Curriculum Update
At the 10-19-16 School Committee meeting, Anna Keegan, LHS Faculty presented the updated Social Studies curriculum document created by the Social Studies Curriculum Task Force. On 11-16-16, the third reading of this document took place and was adopted. This presentation can be viewed within the files attached at the bottom of this page.
Lunenburg Lifelong Learning Advisory Committee
On 9-7-16 the School Committee voted on a charge for the Lunenburg Life Long Learning Advisory Committee.
The Advisory consists of the following members appointed: 1 School Committee member, 2 educators, and 4 community members.
During recent School Committee meetings, the following individuals were appointed to the Lifelong Learning Advisory: Jennifer Judkins, Abigail Perrine, Mandy Trainque, Richard Beardmore, Anne Gilman, Robert Truax and Wendy Bertrand. Meetings of the Advisory will be posted, minutes recorded and posted at the Town website. The Advisory has the following charge: To develop and implement an adult education program to benefit the Lunenburg Community. The program is meant to be self-sustaining and have a neutral impact on the School’s budget. A final report will be issued in May, 2017.
